Event Description
The event will feature 2 local bands, including The Band that Fell
to Earth-A Tribute to David Bowie and PeaceRiot. These bands were a huge hit
last year and we’re excited to have them both back again.
This is an ALL AGES event.
The Scary Monsters Benefit Concert will raise funds to support
LGBTQ youth in our communities, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated
to MN School OUTreach, a coalition of Minnesota students, educators, families, community
members, and organizations working within the schools to address the issues of
sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.
Our mission is to raise money and awareness for LGBTQ programs in
the western suburbs, because there are limited services for these youths outside
of the Twin Cities. This is a chance to
give back to the community and create healthy
learning environments that are inclusive, supportive, safe, and where dual
orientation and gender identity / expressions are respected.
